Learn a new tech skill with a Vivero Fellow! Fellows are offering Digital Tool Workshops in April 2022:
- WordPress Websites, led by Mitsuru Watanabe: Sunday 4/10
- In this workshop, we will be learn about cPanel, the back-end of Sites @ Grinnell, and WordPress. We will talk about how to get a domain, how to access to and use WordPress, and lastly how to build a website.
- ArcGIS Online Mapping, led by Senay Gokcebel: Wednesday 4/20
- Students will be introduced to the applications of ArcGIS via examples, and will be given a 30-min tutorial of the tool. In the remaining 30 minutes, students will get to choose from several datasets and create their own maps. Hand-outs will be provided as well, if anyone wants to continue their projects or remember the functionalities of the tool.
- StoryMaps, led by Feven Adane Getachew and Tanmaie Kailash: Wednesday 4/27
- ArcGIS StoryMaps is web-based application that allows users to create interactive stories or narratives. These stories or narratives can include images, texts, videos, texts, maps. Upon completion of building the story, users can easily publish and share it with the public if they choose to.
All workshops will start at 7:30 PM, and all workshops will take place in the Burling Library Computer Lab (on the lower level).
